Meeting: December 12, 2024
For our December read we travel to Iceland to read Nobel Prize winner, Halldor Laxness’ beloved novel, The Fish Can Sing. It isa poignant coming-of-age tale marked with Laxness’ blend of light irony and dark humor. To quote one reviewer: “This weird and wonderful novel is Laxness at his best: a reminder of the mad hilarity of the Icelandic sensibility.”
